Consumer Dispute Resolution

On 5 February 2016, the Czech Bar Association was authorised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic to resolve out-of-court consumer disputes in the area of disputes between attorneys and consumers under contracts for the provision of legal services (based on Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on Consumer Protection, as amended). The Czech Bar Association may be contacted by a consumer in the event of a dispute between a consumer and a lawyer which cannot be settled directly between the parties. Out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes

The Conciliation Commission of the Czech Bar Association is in charge of consumer disputes.
